Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded TRiO Program sponsored and funded by the U.S. Department of Education.  The University at Buffalo received its first grant award in 1979.  Student Support Services' mission is geared to assist low income students, first-generation students, and students with disabilities by providing them with comprehensive academic support services to increase the retention and graduation rates of eligible undergraduate students. SSS also facilitates cooperation and communication between students and various departments and programs on campus to maximize students’ academic and personal development.
