If you have accrued more then 40 vacation days, and will not be able to use all of them all before December 31, consider helping a fellow employee?
Instead of losing those extra vacation days, you now can donate them to the UUP "Sick Leave Donation Pool." Then in the future, if a colleague needs days, HR will assign the pool days to the employee in need. In emergencies, we have donated days to UUB employees outside of UUP. If you are on a tenure track line but have not yet received tenure,you should not be asked to undertake substantial administrative tasks?

Under Article 19 of the UUP Contract, employees have the right to representation if they are called to an "interrogation." Interrogations are conducted by Employee Relations, and the notice of interrogation always includes notice of the employee's right to bring a union representative. There has been a change in retirement fund contributions by TIAA-CREF enrollees?
All individuals with 10 years of service who are currently paying three percent of their salaries into their optional retirement pension program will benefit staring next year. In other words, beginning April 1, 2008, the state will phase in the program, picking up one percent of your payment annually until the entire three percent is covered.
