Service Excellence Celebration 2000

Project Title:
SNAP Computer Project

Project Description: SNAP—Students Needing Assistance Program—originated with the Access99 mandate requiring all freshmen entering UB in fall 1999 to have access to a computer. To ensure that students with limited finances were not overly burdened, SNAP and its corporate partners, Dell Computer and IBM, provided computers to 350 eligible freshmen. The project was responsible for the logistics involved in acquiring the computers, configuring them for each student’s needs, and distributing them during September Welcome.
