Service Excellence Celebration 2000
Project Description: A cross-functional project
planning team began working in late 1998 to plan for the transition
of the Research Institute on Addictions (RIA) to UB. Plans were
developed to cover a wide range of issues, from preservation
of personnel classifications for state and Research Foundation
employees to library consolidation, from facilities ownership
to budget systems. RIA joined UB in November 1999. The integration
preserves and strengthens a highly successful research, public-service,
and teaching capability that has evolved through many years of
collaboration between RIA and UB.
