Service Excellence Celebration 2000 Project Title: IT Literacy Program for Incoming Students Project Description: The IT Literacy Program for Incoming Students project was designed and implemented by the Student IT Literacy Working Group, which includes teaching faculty, academic advisors, campus librarians, and IT professional staff, to ensure that fall 1999 freshman students would acquire the basic IT literacy skills and knowledge they needed to be successful during their first semester at UB. Students enthusiastically received the program, and the group is now working on orientation sessions for fall 2000 incoming freshmen.
