Service Excellence Celebration 2000
Project Description: The BISON Usability Study was
undertaken in order to make BISON, the Libraries’ computerized
public environment, more user friendly for students and others
doing library
research. The project involved direct observation of students
who were asked to use BISON to work through a series of test
questions designed to measure the effectiveness of the links
on the main BISON homepage and in the Online Resources region.
The report and recommendations are now serving as the foundation
for revamping the main screen nomenclature and developing useful
mouse-over language.
