Uncrowned Queens Receives Buffalo Urban League Award

The Buffalo Urban League celebrate9 "75 years of service to our community" at its 2002 Annual Gala.  As part of this celebration, the Urban League honored Peggy Brooks-Bertram and Barbara Seals Nevergold as recipients of the 2002 Buffalo Urban League Community Service Award.  This award is given annually to recognize outstanding organizations in the Buffalo community.  

"Uncrowned Queens is an exemplary organization as reflected in its culture, values, and commitment to the community."  

The gala was held on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Buffalo Convention Center.
