
BIOGRAPHY: Lydia A. Gelsey

Dr. Lydia A. Gelsey was born Lydia A. Hill July 16, 1950 in Buffalo, New York to Cleo and Hattie Hill the third oldest of ten, five sisters and four brothers. Dr. Gelsey attended Fosdick Masten Vocational High School. Later she attended Erie Community City College and received her Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising. She also attended Houghton College. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Jacksonville Theology Seminary in Religious Arts and Christian Education. Dr. Gelsey went on to receive her Master’s in Religious Art’s and Christian Psychology at this time she was also ordained and licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1998 she received her Doctorate Degree in Religious Psychology from Jacksonville Theology Seminary.
Dr. Lydia A. Gelsey is the wife of Dr. Frederick A. Gelsey Sr. They pastor together at One In Christ Temple on Broadway in the city of Buffalo, New York. They are successful entrepreneurs, with two clothing shops in Buffalo. Dr. Gelsey is a mother of three and a grandmother of ten. She teaches a bible study class in Alden to Women in prison.
