Energy Smart Schools - This is a Rebuild America (U.S. Department of Energy) program which focuses on primary and secondary schools but there is enough overlap with our campus buildings to recommend including this site, http://www.eren.doe.gov/energysmartschools. Excellent section on myths about energy in schools.

Environmental Building News - a monthly journal available for $79/year, 122 Birge Street, Suite 30, Brattleboro, VT 05301, (802) 257-7300. Reviews the most recent advances in sustainable "green" building technologies and materials. Product reviews may include first-hand test results. On-line discussions and articles are available at www.BuildingGreen.com. The year-end issue of EBN consists of "a compilation of the best information resources on green building." The December 2000 issue contains descriptions and contact information on over 200 green building design websites, magazines, books, videos and software. This is the best is probably the most extensive current listing of such resources.

A number of excellent resource materials are available through this site including High Performance Green Building Guidelines. High Performance Building Guidelines - An excellent detailed green design manual developed by the City of New York's Department of Design and Construction. Discusses process as well as technical issues. Performance goals and "deliverables" are listed for each category of green design (site design, energy, IAQ, materials, etc.). Minnesota Sustainable Design Guide - Complete green design manual available on-line at: http://www.sustainabledesignguide.umn.edu. Contains descriptions of numerous green design strategies and a detailed process discussion on how green design applies to each stage of project development.
