During the 2005 summer, the UB Green Office, in conjunction with other campus and community partners, is beginning a UB Climate Action
Initiative. Over the next twelve to eighteen months this project will include conducting a greenhouse gas emissions inventory of the
university, analyzing the data to better understand UB's climate change impact, developing a set of recommendations to reduce that impact
over the long term, building consensus and setting in motion plans to implement those recommendations, and conducting a wide ranging
climate change educational program.
Our understanding of the problem of global warming and climate change motivates the UB Climate Action Initiative. We believe that this
is the most serious environmental problem the human species is facing.
