Paul J. Kostyniak, Ph.D., DABT, is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Biotechnical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences, and Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and the Director of the
Toxicology Research Center at the University at Buffalo. Dr. Kostyniak holds a B.S. in Biology from St. John Fisher College and a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University at Rochester. He is a Diplomate of the
American Board of Toxicology, the certifying agency for toxicologists in the U.S. He has developed and coordinated numerous Environmental Toxicology and Occupational Health courses for graduate students and
medical students. He has authored over 60 scientific publications and book chapters. Dr. Kostyniak also has over 25 years of experience in Toxicology and in education. He has
served on numerous study sections and grant review committees, and has served as an expert witness providing testimony on exposure assessment, heavy metals, and halogenated organics.
