Music and dancing always make the food taste better at the Hanoi where the menu is limited, food is bountiful and filling, but most dinners are fried and there is no decent accommodation for vegetarian tastes. Keep in mind, however, that considering food shortages in the country our students eat like royalty


View of a farmer's market where students may buy fruits and some vegetables. This morning open air market is located three blocks away from the residence. Selection is often poor and health conditions are no way near similar to a supermarket setting but good, fresh fruit can be bought cheap. Shopping here is an adventure and a great chance to get to know the city and its inhabitants!

The Hanoi Restaurant where students eat dinner every evening is located eight blocks from the residence (a 15 minute walk)
