Music and dancing always make the food taste better at the Hanoi
where the menu is limited, food is bountiful and filling, but most dinners
are fried and there is no decent accommodation for vegetarian tastes. Keep
in mind, however, that considering food shortages in the country our
students eat like royalty

View of a farmer's market where students may buy fruits and some
vegetables. This morning open air market is located three blocks away from
the residence. Selection is often poor and health conditions are no way
near similar to a supermarket setting but good, fresh fruit can be bought
cheap. Shopping here is an adventure and a great chance to get to know the
city and its inhabitants!

The Hanoi Restaurant where students eat dinner every evening is
located eight blocks from the residence (a 15 minute walk)
