Local Mosque and Community Information

The Muslim Community in the Greater Metropolitan Buffalo Area has over 3000 Muslims, from many ethnic and social backgrounds. Significant numbers of African-American, Indian and Pakistani, Yemeni, Palestinian and Turkish Muslims make up the majority of the community population.

Buffalo is a city of approx. 400,000 people, with 1.7M population in the Greater Metropolitan Area. It is traditionally an industrial city, with recent contraction and shifts toward service sectors, especially medical care and technology, and retail. It is a major sports town, and boasts a world class orchestra, University, and a waterfront (Lake Erie). In addition, attractions in Niagara Falls and Canada are only a half-hour away.
