History

Minority Management Society of SUNY at Buffalo originated on Spring 1989. Students of color underrepresented throughout the UB School of Management united together to promote the recruitment, retention and successful graduation of students in business and technical related fields. From this meeting of concerned students and educators, MMS was born. The Minority Management Society mission is to increase minority representation within the business community and to facilitate meaningful and positive interaction between students pursuing managerial careers. In 1989, MMS was incorporated as a non-profit corporation. MMS became recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 c3. of the Internal Revenue Code.
