Founding Fathers from 1988:
Rick Cole (#13 jersey will always be retired in honor of Rick)
Mike Keating (coached from 1988-1990, first All American for UB)

The UB Men's Club Volleyball Rolling Rhinos were founded in 1988.  The team went to Club Nationals at the University of Tennessee for the first time in 1990 and finished 5th.  Two years later the University at Buffalo hosted the National Tournament that consisted of 71 teams.  The Rhinos have competed in Division I since Division play began in 1991 at the National Tournament.  UB has been a member of the EIVA (Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) Conference since the club was established and continues to place at the top of the Division year after year.
