-Surprise! A couple of new faces showed up at the meeting!
-Elections: The positions of vice-president and secretary were being voted upon. Ed is our new vice-president and Mark is our new secretary.
-The tentative date from the spring conference is the third weekend in April. The music has been arranged already. A former president of the LGBA is interested in coming to the Conference and helping out with it. The cost for the Conference may include hotel costs, breakfast and a banquet. It may cost about $50 (less for students, etc.)
-Plans are underway for Freedom to Marry Day on February 12. Lorenzo is looking for help with the centerpieces for the tables.
-We discussed people we'd like to see speak at the conference. Names included (but are not limited to): Candace Gingrich, Chastity Bono, Sandra Bernhard, and Barney Frank. Let Amy B. know if you have any other ideas.
-The new secretary will be looking for an office manager. Details will follow when the spring semester starts.
-The LGBTA office will be closed after December 7 until the spring semester commences.
-One last note: to all the people who've been creating controversy on the list serv lately: please, save the drama for your mama. Thank you and have a *great* winter recess!
