on to the next one! Tina B. and Pigtail Melissa are having a potluck b-day party for Tina at their place this Friday (10/9) at 8-ish see the black message board in the office for directions and info
Penny attempted a valiant effort at the chicken-wing-eating contest, and though she didn't finish first, she probably had the outest, loudest, proudest cheering section of all the competitors NICE GOING, PENNY!!
and nice going to Amy, Penny, Omar, Troy, and Heidi for painting our window in the Union and thanks too to everyone who worked on the bed-sheet and by the way, does anyone know what happened to the banner that we used to have hanging on the second-floor bridge of the Union, the one that leads to the Commons?
next semester's conference:
Elaine "MAY-see-oh" (forgot to get the spelling of her last name) from GLYS spoke about an outreach program that LGBA might want to get involved in. She left calendars and posters in the office...announced a fundraiser @ Compton's (18 and over) this Sunday @ 3pm... suggested that we consider attending a GLYS meeting on a Monday night in November (Monday nights are "education nights"), visiting as rolemodels
a PFLAG rep will be attending tomorrow's COSG mtg., pls. come if you can and show your support
the AIDS Coalition (Michael Hall) would like to bring Sean Sasser, former lover of MTV's Real World's late Pedro Zamorra, to UB, possibly in conjunction with our spring conference. his fee comes to a total of $5000.00, so can LGBA help out with a little donation? "anything would be appreciated"
besides offering financial aid, can we help out with refreshments, do we want to set up a table at the event, do we want to design a banner? event may be in Slee Hall or in the Union Theater, most likely followed by a "meet 'n' greet" questions? call Heather L. at 829-2584, or see the info packet in the office

(i'm inserting this, this didn't happen at the meeting) how do we order more safe space stickers lotsa people have been coming into the office and asking for them...
