Meeting MinutesMarch 20, 2003

Meeting start time: 7:59

Grasp: (Rachel)
-The last Woman Studies class has been canceled.
-The Daeman GRASP-the professor is moving a test so we can come, it will be Wednesday March, 26. We want to meet early and anyone interested should see Rachel.

Raffle: (Rachel)
-Thank you to Jill, Shaun, Jim and Tino for their selling tickets made a lot.
-We need to continue to sell tickets, they are only $1 a piece any members who want to sell them please see Rachel, the more we sell the better.

Banquet: (Cory)
-We would like help in selling tickets, currently we only have 5 tickets that have purchased and we need approximately 45 tickets to be sold to break even.
-If you would like to go please come, the dinner actually cost more than the ticket does at the student price.
-The even is a nice event to honor those who have helped to community at large.
-Part of your ticket sales will be going toward an internship for help in the public service area and t LGBTA club programs.
-You can also win prizes.

Day of Silence: (Rachel)
-Getting tee-shirts and cards made.
-We would like to have a gathering of people in the union to help in getting visibility of the event.
-We are thinking about taking an ad out in the Spectrum a couple of days before so people know what’s happening.
-If you have any ideas or would like to help with tabling or flyering please feel free to jump in and help out.

Nominations:
-Please address all inquires of voting eligibility to the e-board on an individual basis some concessions might be extended due to extenuating circumstances.
-Treasurer:Shaun Hoppel
-Vice President:Rachel Parrino , Patrick Clemons
-President:Cory Hill

-On April 3rd those nominated will be giving speeches followed by a Q/A

-The chocolates and scratch cards idea has been canceled due to lack of money.

-The fact lolly pop hand out got a little side tracked, we are thinking of possible handing them out on day of Silence with the cards we having printed up.

-June 9th we will be participating in the Buffalo Gay Pride parade. Does anyone have and ideas for our float? Those who are interested in marching keep tuned for planning.

-We were the only college program involved last year and we would like to contact others schools and organize at greater showing of people this summer.
