Minutes: 03/20/02

- Thank you to everyone who attended/helped with the dance!
- Day of Silence t-shirts are in! The white tees with green ringers are
free and for members only. If you want one, you must come to the office
and sign it out. There are white ones for sale to members of the public
for $6. On April 10 (Day of Silence) the office will be closed from 11-2
so that club members can sit in Putnam's silently eating lunch.
- April 10 are elections. You are eligible to vote if you have attended
two of the last five meetings. The day after will most likely be a pizza
party somewhere in the student union.
- A reminder: if people are the only ones running, they still must win by a
majority. If less than half of the voting members in attendance abstain
from voting for that position, the position will not be filled and new
nominations will open up.
- Another reminder: if anyone takes messages in the office, make sure that
they are clear.
- We have Harriman Hall for April 20
- There will be a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater on April 6 in room 145 of
the SU from 7-9pm. Go to 150 SU for tickets. The LGBTA will be getting a
few tickets, see Lorenzo if you would like to attend.
- There was a discussion of things to buy for the office. One item was a
new banner (the old one says LGBA). Everyone should feel free to make
banner designs and email/give them to Lorenzo. They will be voted on and
the favorite will be made.
- LGBTA now has a general email address, ub_lgbta@hotmail.com
- Thanks to those who went to the OUTLAW dinner
- April = Gaypril!
- Everyone should think of new fundraising ideas and bring them up at the
next meeting (which will be April 3)
- People should also make fliers for Day of Silence and they will be
printed and displayed.
