Golden Key members were invited to a social so they could get acquainted with one another. It was followed by a night out on the town!
Ronald McDonald House - Saturday, April 8
Ronald McDonald House provides accommodations for families of sick children receiving medical treatment in area hospitals. Volunteers helped prepare and serve a dinner for the sick children and their families.
Habitat for Humanity - Saturday, April 1
Golden Key members helped build a house through Habitat for Humanity, a national nonprofit organization.
Basset Park Manor - Sunday, December 11
Golden Key members helped volunteer for 2 hours at Basset Park Manor nursing home making holiday crafts with residents.
St. Luke's Mission of Mercy - Saturday, November 19
St. Luke's Mission of Mercy, located in a former Catholic church between Walden, Sycamore and Miller Streets, was founded in 1994. It is a Catholic human service organization offering support to people in need. Staffed by missionaries, the center offers food, shelter, and counseling to homeless, poor, and hungry people.
Hurricane Katrina Fundraiser - Monday, September 26
UB Golden Key and Phi Eta Sigma members collaborated together and organized a Hurricane Katrina Fundraiser in hope to raise money for victims and their families. Together, Phi Eta Sigma and Golden Key donated +$200 to the American Red Cross.
