training begins in the second week. Good luck in classes this semester
everyone! Train Hard!!!
Check out the Events page for more info.

What CMAC is:
CMAC is the most diverse martial arts club on the
campus. With different styles to choose from, qualified and dedicated
instructors, and 120+ members, we are a growing force on campus. We are
always looking for new students and instructors to teach.
We are still growing, not just in numbers but in our contribution to the
great UB community. Last year we did 400 hours of community service for the
Anti-Rape Task Force, taught 13 Self-Defense seminars for RA’s on Campus
and for the actors of the Vagina Monologues. We also have an annual Martial
Arts Expo, where we bring together all the martial arts clubs on campus to
promote marital arts and unity.
We also do Demonstrations for different Cultural Nights (last year we
preformed at Japan Nite, Barrio Fiesta and China Nite). In years past we have won the BSU’s Apollo Night Talent Show and also provide security
for many on campus events.
How To Join:
Just show up! Show up to whatever classes that you
are interested in. Remember we're located in the Richmond
Aerobics Room in Ellicott. That's on the second floor right across from the
Ellicott Weight Room. The easiest way to get to it is walking on the huge
terrace platform. Don't be afraid to email us if you need any more
directions. Try to print out the three emergency forms on our Resources page when you come in. But if you don't
remember to bring them, we'll have some for you in our dojo.
Got Experience?
We are always looking for new arts and new instructors
to join our family. For those of you with previous martial arts background,
we also encourage you to email us at the address below about you teaching
your own class. This club is run on the concept of students teaching
students. You don't necessarily have to be a master to teach. At least a
few years of experience is sufficient enough. To
give you an idea, many of our instructors have trained in their art for 3
or more years. You just need some form of a document (Instructor's
permission, certificates, etc.) that proves to us that you are proficient
enough in an art to teach.
