The State University of New York at Buffalo's African Student Association has been, and will continue to be, a strong force in the university's diverse community. For over 20 years, African SA has provided a sense of home for it's children here on the UB campus, as well as a comfortable shelter for those who want to come in and feel the vibe of the rich, powerful, and valuable African pride.

ASA was brought to this campus to foster the understanding of Africa in the University and the surrounding communities. We want to promote a true image of Pan African spirit at UB and neighboring areas. ASA encourages all African students to participate in the activities of the organization and provides assistance to all new African students to the University and help adjust to the new American environment with respect to orientation to the new environment and academic counseling.

We as members of the African Student Association set out to interchange different cultures among Africans, bring unionization among African students, and to develop relationships between African students and those belonging to different ethnicities.
