The Tabernacle Campus Ministry

The Tabernacle Campus Ministry is a campus outreach that aims to demonstrate God's tangible love to the searching student; to shine the light of His truth into their experience, and ultimately lead them gently to making a decision regarding the place of Jesus Christ in their life. We feel that God's very real encounter within a Kairos moment can & will bring hope and healing to many lonely, hurting, and lost souls. We provide this opportunity by having non-threatening bi-weekly coffeehouses in the Student Union, where free food bags, clothing, literature, and great advice, are easily accessible. Ultimately, students are encouraged to attend on site campus ministries that best suite their spiritual growth & social well being.

Muslim

Muslim Campus Ministries

Islam is America's fastest growing faith, which calls all humanity to unite and attain spiritual and worldly peace through the worship of our Perfect and Most Merciful Creator--who is One, and completely unlike any of his beloved creation. Muslims believe Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) came to bring humanity back to the true message of his brother prophets before him--from Adam, to Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (Peace be Upon them All). Islam means peaceful submission to God. A Muslim is anyone who lovingly submits to God and accepts all of God's prophets and holy books, while living a good life, expressing love and peace with all creation--and at the same time drawing near to God.

Campus Muslim Ministries (CMM) works with local Muslim Student Associations to promote an accurate image of Islam, dispel myths, engage in interfaith dialogues, and offer services and counseling to students and faculty. CMM sponsors a service in English followed by the Friday Prayer in 210 Student Union, Fridays at 1:30. CMM also hosts a Halaqa (class on Quran and Hadith) Fridays at 7:30pm at Masjid Taqwa (at 40 Parker Street, off Main Street) and a Saturday Night Sports Get-together for college students starting at 8:30pm at Masjid Nour (745 Heim rd, off N. Forest). Transportation from UB to the Halaqa and Get-together is provided. Please do not hesitate to contact us and may peace be upon all who follow righteous guidance!

Unitarian Universalist

Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministries

Unitarian Universalism is a pluralistic religious faith. Our roots are in liberal and heretical Christianity. Unitarianism speaks of the "oneness of God" and Universalism of the "universal salvation of all". Today, we embrace many beliefs and covenant with one another around core values expressed in our Principles and Purposes statement.

We are a supportive Unitarian Universalist faith community at UB that addresses the unique concerns and pressures of the transitional nature of student life. Our campus ministry group is a place for students to understand their faith journey, learn about our shared values and be empowered to put their beliefs and values into social action.

We meet weekly during the fall and spring semesters on Sundays from 8:00pm - 9:30pm in the Student Union. Please call Jean Ott for room number.
