Professionalization

One of the major goals of the SGSA is the professional development of the graduate students in the department. To this end, we encourage sociology grad students to be active in professional associations and to present papers at conferences (local, regional, national, and international).

Professional Activities

Many students in the department have worked hard to start establishing themselves as productive members of the discipline. Check out the following links to see what we've been up to!

Professional Associations

Professional associations are a good way to gain exposure to the field of sociology and its many sub-disciplines. Following are links to some of the major professional associations relating to sociology.
