Summary of Research Interests:

Joel Raynor has been involved in teaching, research, and theory construction on topics related to "motivational psychology" since the mid-1960's, first on achievement, motivation, then on personality, motivation and achievement, and more recently, on addictive/compulsive behaviors, including alcoholism, gambling, and eating. He is now engaged in research and teaching in sport and exercise psychology.
