Graduate Programs
- Master's program
A master's degree designed to provide an understanding of basic Pharmacology, along with an individualized program of original research. - Ph.D. program
*New in 2011* Students may apply directly to the Pharmacology PhD program. Applicants can also enter the Pharmacology program after matriculating for 1 year in the PhD Program in Biomedical Sciences (PPBS). These programs provide students with flexibility in formulating their graduate studies. - M.D/Ph.D.
program
Medical students who are enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) will receive an M.D. and a Ph.D. upon graduation. An MSTP student may choose the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology to complete their Ph.D. requirements. Please refer to the MSTP website for further information.
Undergraduate Programs

Both major and minor degrees are offered. - Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate students may gain research experience by doing laboratory rotations and/or tutorial study.
Special Programs
- Combined
B.S./M.S. degree program
Allows students to begin graduate level work in their senior year of college and complete the B.S. and M.S. degree within five years.
