    
The admission
process begins June 1, and our application deadline is November
1st. The target date (AAMC) for final class selection nationally
is March 15. During the intervening period the Admissions Committee
reviews and makes its decision on approximately 2,000 applications.
Interviews
A personal interview is a prerequisite to admission and is
the final stage of the admissions process. Interview invitations
are solely within the prerogative of the Admissions Committee
and are issued only after a thorough review of the application
by the Committee. The Committee invites 400-500 candidates for
interview annually.
M.D/Ph.D Applicants
Students applying to the Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) should follow the standard procedure for the AMCAS application to the Medical School, indicating their intent to apply to the Medical Degree/Ph.D. program. The Office of Research and Biomedical Education will contact the student when we receive their hard-copy AMCAS report
Committee
Decisions
Interviews are conducted from September through February.
The first group of acceptances are issued in mid-October. Thereafter,
committee decisions are forwarded to applicants every eight weeks.
Applicants not invited for interview are notified as soon as possible
after the review of their application has been completed.Applicants
are requested to respond within two weeks from the date of acceptance
and also must submit a $100 acceptance deposit (refundable until
May 1). Accepted students are required to have completed all of
the premedical course requirements prior to matriculation.The
Admissions Committee will consider requests for deferred admission
under special circumstances. Such circumstances should be fully
described in a formal written petition to the committee.
