Social Security Card Information
If you are applying for a new social security card and would like to expedite the process, follow the directions below:
- Apply for your SS card at the North Town Business Center - 3131 Sheridan Drive, Amherst, NY 14226
- Bring your passport and ID Photo
- Two days after you apply, return to the office with your passport and ID Photo to obtain a printout of your social security number only.
Your official social security card itself will arrive in about two weeks.

Transportation/Drivers License
Residents find it helpful to have access to a motor vehicle, as you will be rotating to five different hospital sites.
Driver's Licenses
International Students: If you have a foreign license, we strongly suggest you apply for an international Driving permit before arriving in the U.S., to ensure your ability to operate a vehicle in the State of New York.
