University at Buffalo Symposium on Women's Health

When: Saturday, October 20, 2007

Where: Millenium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Avenue, Cheektowaga, NY 14225

This program is part of a continuing effort to expand the University at Buffalo’s commitment to the health care of women. The morning program will address critical issues for the active management of heart disease in women, the importance of antenatal factors in the pathogenesis of cerebral palsy, and the physiologic basis of fetal heart monitoring with the imperative for active communication between RNs and MDs. The afternoon program will address an overview of gynecologic surgery, adolescent health care, and another communication issue: health care literacy and cultural competency.
