High School Science Enrichment Program
“Bringing Medical Science to Life”
“to encourage junior and senior high school students to pursue advanced education and careers in the health sciences”
This Mini-Medical School Program presents an exciting, clinically-oriented curriculum that illustrates the real-life medical applications of the biological sciences taught in the Buffalo, Lockport, West Seneca and Williamsville High Schools.
Since supportive family members help teachers encourage students towards further training and entry into scientific careers, each participating student is required to enroll one adult family member in the Mini-Medical School Program.
Students who complete the lecture series will be given use of faculty’s slides and outlines to give 10th graders the benefit of their experience in special classes arranged for that purpose.

Mini-Veterinary School
The University at Buffalo’s Mini-Medical School and the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society offer a series of five evening lectures to the general public on pet health. Pet owners are committed to maintaining the good health and happiness of their faithful pets. In the middle of these beneficial reciprocal relationships between humans and animals are the dedicated and competent practitioners of veterinary medicine who strive with consummate training and skill to cope with the myriad of diseases and injuries that affect these animals.
Topics are designed to be helpful for you to learn about the causes and treatment of the conditions that affect your pets, and about some of the latest advances in veterinary medicine.
The Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society is comprised of more than 65 small animal hospitals and more than 145 practitioners in Erie and Niagara Counties. It exists to advance public awareness and understanding of proper pet health care, veterinary services and the veterinary profession.
