The New York State AHEC System sustained record levels of outreach for 2010-11, training over 33,000 students. Nearly 1,900 medical, nursing and other health professions students participated in AHEC-sponsored, community-based training. 

More than 18,000 health professionals attended continuing education, distance learning and web-based programs. 

Nearly 15,000 K-12 and college students learned about health careers through classroom and real-life settings, with a greater emphasis placed on multi-contact, sequential learning opportunities.  » read more
