Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide Sensors for Diving Applications.

This project, supported by the US Navy aims at identifying, testing and modifying, as necessary, gas sensors to be incorporated in divers’ breathing gear for the purpose of warning the diver against deleterious hypercapnia and/or hypoxia due to gear malfunction or inadequate respiratory performance by the diver.

Suitable sensors identified by bench testing will be mounted in divers’ breathing gear and tested in the CRESE wet hyperbaric chamber.
