Image Analysis Software
3D Doctor
3D-DOCTOR creates 3D surface and volume
rendering from 2D cross-section images. The software's vector-based tools
support easy image data handling, measurement and analysis.
3D Volume Rendering
Volsuite and Voxx are 3D volume rendering software packages which take image stacks
and render them into three dimensional volumes. Both packages rely on commonly
available, but specific types of video graphics cards to perform real-time rendering. Volsuite is a product of the Ohio Supercomputer center and be freely
downloaded from here.
Voxx which was
developed at
Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy can be
downloaded from
here.
AutoDeblur Image
Deconvolution
A blind deconvolution method of removing
out-of-focus haze from 2D confocal and wide-field images stacks to produce
deblurred 3D projections.
Image Processing Toolkit
General purpose image processing tools
running under Photoshop.
Zeiss Image Display Tools
Zeiss provides software tools to permit displaying and limited
analysis of images acquired on their Confocal and wide-field microscope
systems.
Image Browser will load and display lsm type confocal image stacks and can be downloaded from the
Zeiss Microscopy website or users can
contact the Director for access to the software.
Axiovision LE loads and displays images acquired on the Axioimager wide-field
fluorescence microscope
can also be downloaded from the
Zeiss website or obtained from the Director.
ImageJ
General purpose image analysis and processing
of wide-field and confocal images. Free download from
NIH web site including many
plugins which add functionality. Also see the
McMaster Biophotonics
Facility website for online documentation.
Quantity One
Control acquisition of Gel-Doc, Imaging
Densitometry and Phosphoimagers. Analyze gel profiles and band densities.
