What Do I Need to Know About HIPAA?

  • HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) went into effect on April 14, 2003.
  • Residents, Attending Physicians, and all clinical and non-clinical personnel are obligated to respect and protect the privacy of patients and their health information
