Modify a User's Role
- Select Control Panel > List/Modify User
- Use the search box to locate the individual or select List All
- Select Properties
Select the role you wish the user to have: Course Builder Has access to most areas of the Control Panel; cannot access student grades.
Grader Assists the Instructor in the creation, management, delivery, and grading of Assessments, including managing the Gradebook.
Guest Users set to the role of Guest have limited access.
Instructor Has access to all areas in the Control Panel.
Student Is the default Course Role. Teaching Assistant Has access to most features except: Course Copy, Import Course Cartridge, Export Course, and Modify Users.
- If you want to make the course invisible to a user, you can change the Available menu to NO. The user is not removed from the course. You can request the removal of a user who should not be showing up in your class by emailing ublearns@buffalo.edu .
- Submit > OK
