New threads
When adding a new thread, use a descriptive title in the subject field.
Replying
Use the Reply button to respond to an existing thread, instead of starting a new thread.
Compose
It is a good practice to compose your thoughts using word processing software. It's not uncommon for browsers to crash while you are composing your entry, or when submitting.
Spell check
Proper spelling and grammar is expected. UBlearns.buffalo.edu has a spell checker built in.
View complete forum
To view all messages of a forum on a single screen, click Show Options tab, then hit Select All, and Collect All. Messages are displayed in the order they are posted. A drawback is that you lose the threaded nature of the messages.

Use the browser View menu to select Text Zoom or Text Size feature to increase the readability of the text.
