Archiving a Discussion Forum

Discussion Board threads can be archived by the instructor and made available to students. Archived threads are removed from the forum and stored separately.

Archiving a discussion

1. Select Control Panel, then select Discussion Board (under Course Tools).
2. Click on a Forum link.
3. Select Archives.
4. Select Add Archive.
5. Give the archive a title and description.
6. By default, the archive is available.
7. Click Submit.

Adding a thread to an archive

1. Click Modify next to an archive.
2. Select the forum threads you want to archive.
3. Click Submit. When prompted, select OK.

Accessing an archived discussion

1. Select Control Panel, then select Discussion Board (under Course Tools).
2. Click on a Forum link.
3. Click Archives.
4. Click the name of the forum to view the archived threads.
