Export Course
The Export Course feature is one way to back up your course. Export Course creates a .zip file package that can be imported for use at another time or on another Blackboard course management system.
Note: Export Course does not save any user interactions (e.g., grades, discussion board postings, assignment submissions); only course content is exported. You will be given the opportunity to select parts of the course to include in your Export. It is recommended that you export everything available; when you import the content for use later, you will again have the opportunity to select the parts of the course you want to reuse.
Note: Export packages are downloaded as compressed .zip files and are imported in the same format. Do not modify or remove files from a zipped Export package, or it will not import correctly.

(No email will be sent. There is a bug in the system. Check back later to see if the file has processed.) - Click OK.
- Click OK, this action returns you to the Control Panel.
- Select Export Course (under Course Options).
- Click the file name (export file names begin with ExportFile...).
- You will be asked to Open or Save the file; Click Save.
- Select the location where you want to save this exported file (e.g., local computer, networked drive, CD).
- Click Save.
- After the file has been saved to your local computer, select the Remove button to remove the file from the Export/Archive Manager.
Note: This file can be imported into a new course site, using Import Package.
