We are required to follow copyright regulations in the presentation of video materials, audio and videotape duplication, computer software installation, and Media Library rentals.
In general, materials obtained through our Media Library, a rental library or public library can be used in the classroom. Broadcast programs taped off-air, by or for the teacher, must be used in the classroom within the first ten days the program was broadcast. It can be kept for an additional 35 days for evaluation purposes. The 45 day holding period does not include weekends, holidays, vacations, examination periods, or other scheduled school interruptions. At the end of the holding period the videotaped program must be erased. If you need assistance in determining whether the video materials you are utilizing follow the fair use guidelines, please contact our MES office at 645-2803.
Any audiotape or videotape may not be duplicated in whole or in part without writte15-Jul-2004y computer software will not be installed on ITS classroom computer projection systems without a valid license.
