SEARCHING BISON
FOR
MEDIA LIBRARY MATERIAL

Media Library materials can be found through BISON (Buffalo Information System Online) - the University at Buffalo Libraries' Computerized system.

To begin, go to the Libraries' website: http://library.buffalo.edu

• Click on the “Catalog” tab in the blue search box.
  
• Do a keyword search, adding the code “bufit” in the search line. (e.x., “bufit death”)
  
  
• The results will all be items owned by Instructional Technology Services (bufit) which include the word death in the catalog record.
  
• If you know the exact title of the video, use the same method of using the keyword search and adding the “bufit” code.
  
• Click on the title of the film/video for details.
  
• The location of each film/video is listed under “Location/Call No.” on the right side of the page. Titles in the Media Library collection are listed as: INSTRUCTIONAL TECH SERVICES. Videos are listed as “does not circulate;” however, they can be borrowed by teaching faculty. All requests should have at least 1 business day notice for pickup and at least 2 business days notice for delivery to a Technology, Video Equipped, or Projection Ready Classroom.
