The UB Commons is a privately owned mini-mall that provides
a range of shopping opportunities for people who live on, work on, or visit
the North Campus. It also offers employment opportunities for students.
More than 50,000 square feet of stores, restaurants, recreation facilities,
meeting rooms, and offices are located here. In the center is a courtyard
and fountain surrounded by benches.
The Commons also houses the Center for Excellence in Document Analysis
Research (CEDAR), the largest independently sponsored research sub unit
of the computer science department and Science, Technology Transfer and
Outreach Program (STOR). |
