Eastern Psychological Association (EPA)

What is it?
Every year, lots of Psychology students and faculty from the Northeast come together for the EPA conference. This conference is a gathering, showcasing what is new and exciting in the field of Psychology. It includes speeches, seminars, and poster presentations from all over and is sure to include representations of many sub areas of Psychology. One presentation in particular is particularly exciting for our school because it is being put on by UB’s own PsiChi branch due to their having been named model chapter of the year last year- a very distinguished recognition. We would love you to come represent our school and our support fellow students, not to mention get a great vacation!!!!

When is it?
March 13-16th

Where is it?
Boston, MA

Why should I go?

  • It's FUN! It's a cool way to make new friends, and have a great time with your old friends. Those who went to the conference last year had a blast.
  • Almost every realm of Psychology is explored! Social, Clinical, Industrial/Organizational, Developmental, Neuroscience, etc. There are over 400 paper presentations, and tons of poster sessions. Wow!
  • You'll get tons of info on graduate school: how to apply, how to make a great application, etc.
  • You'll discover exciting career and school opportunities that one can enjoy with a Bachelor's in Psychology.
  • You never know who you're going to meet at these things. Last time we were in Boston, we stayed in the same hotel as the NBA Celtic's opponents. Another year, in Providence, Jerry Springer was roaming the premises. This year it could be anyone!
