A Safe and Secure Campus

 Clubs

As a member of the UB community, you have a right to live and learn in a safe environment, and a responsibility to behave as a responsible community member.  If you use common sense you will be safe and have fun.  But if you ever need it, UB is there to help.

Need help?

Dial 2222 from any campus phone or campus pay phone.  Or pick up any blue light phone (Amherst Campus, Main Street Campus) and you will be directly connected to the University Police.  Or from a cell phone dial 645 – 2222.

Who are the University Police?

UB’s University Police force comprises of 63 highly qualified Police Academy trained police officers.  Police are on patrol day and night, in uniform and plain clothes, in police cars, on foot and on bicycles.  They are patrolling, teaching, investigating, and helping students everyday.

Whom do I call?

For all emergencies – medical, fire, or safety call 2222.  If you see suspicious activity – call 2222.  If you are not sure who to call, call 2222 and the University Police will help.  If you are out on campus, look for one of the 50 blue light phones.  There will be a phone within your line of sight no matter where you are on campus.

When off-campus dial 911 for emergency situations.
