CROSS COUNTRY SKIING!

On Friday February 6th, 8 members of the OAC traveled to the Byrncliff resort and conference center located in Varysburg New York for a night of cross country skiing in sub-zero temperatures. The facility boasted a lighted night time cross country ski trail that we took advantage of. We rented skis, boots, and poles and had a great time all around. The terrain proved to be a little more hilly than we could have hoped for but it proved fun to try and handle downhill sections of the trail on our first attempt at cross country skiing! Although those who got the hang of it soon learned to love the danger of flying downhill at breakneck speed strapped to two narrow pieces of wood. The resort also had a nice heated lodge that we used to eat dinner in and rest between outings. OAC staples of PBJ (and Fluff!) kept us going until the frigid journey back to Buffalo.
