Trail Running at AlleganyOn a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon, a group of ten members journeyed down to Allegany State Park for an afternoon of trail running. The group split up, as one sect took the Three Sisters trail, and the other took the Bear Caves trail. Although initially confronted with an ambiguous path for both groups, the OAC members sniffed out the correct paths and continued up the paths. The Three Sisters trail was a loop that had an excellent view from the top. The Bear Caves trail, though without the fantastic view, had an interesting path winding through the giant boulders and crevasses known as the Bear Caves. At the end of the run, everyone enjoyed refreshments such as bagels and bananas. Overall, a great experience, as one of the members noted, “I wouldn’t have changed anything.”
