Disk Golf! On April 5, 11 OAC members showed up to the first Disc Golfing trip the club has ever done. After a quick trip to Dick’s to purchase some discs, it was off to Beaver Island State Park on Grand Island to take on their 18-hole course. We were lucky enough to pick one of the first really warm days of early Spring, so it was sunny and warm enough to play without a jacket. At first, many people were a bit shaky with their disc-throwing, but everyone quickly got warmed up and a few of the better players threw some killer drives (I’m looking at you, Prussein). The course was very professional and well-maintained, but a bit swampy from the rain that fell the day before. We just counted those as water hazards, and luckily no one lost their discs. Afterwards, everyone headed over to Mississippi Mudds for some burgers and fries. All in all, it was a great way to spend a day, and everyone agreed that we should make this trip an OAC staple for the future! Everyone putting in Pull!
