Ellicott Creek/ Erie Canal Canoe Trip: October 7th 2007 We started off from Path Peaks and Paddles store which is right on Ellicott creek, and canoed down the creek to the Erie Canal. Along Ellicott creek the view were nice, with the first of the fall leaves floating on the water and nice views of Great Blue Herons. There were also a lot of ducks. Once we got to the Erie Canal the creek widened out a lot and we got to canoe under many bridges on our way in land to Ellicott Creek Park, where we stopped and had lunch. We then portaged our canoes across the park back to Ellicott Creek. From here we started out towards UB and made it past Sweet Home Road before retuning back to Path Peaks and Paddles.
