Mountain Biking in Alleghany On the weekend of October 6th, the OAC headed to Allegany for a day of mountain biking and relaxing in the park. The Art Roscoe biking and cross-country skiing trails were great fun for bikers of all skill levels, and the warm weather was comfortable for riding. There were some fast downhills and reasonable climbs on the green and blue trails, and some rockier, steeper descents to be found on the more advanced ones. For the most part, the rental bikes held up well, and everybody who stayed made it back in one piece for a laid-back barbecue. Thanks to everyone for your patience at the beginning of the trip as we waited for the van / bike transportation to arrive! (Quite a workout just making it to the trails, eh?) Soo fast the camera couldn't keep up.
