Alleghany Backpacking Trip

This original plans for this trip were a nice easy beginners hike on the relatively flat Tracy Ridge Trail. For the most part these plans worked out, but with one added hitch. By the time the group got to the Southern Tier an inch of snow had already accumulated. Members were prepared for the snow though. The group covered 12 miles of ground, slept two nights in below freezing temperatures, and enjoyed the usual asortment of rice, peanut butter, and cliff bars. Suprisingly the trip went perfectly, everyone learned something, and I think everyone even had fun.
