1) According to rumor, Sub Board I's budget was cut, and in related news, we only got $1000 for our conference. Last year we spend well over $11,000. So... that leaves us with about $5000 to spend for the year, unless we can do some major appealing. I have that in the works (but only in my head for now) so we'll just have to wait and see.
2) I walked in the office today to find it considerably cleaner than the previous time, so whoever cleaned so nicely, thank you.
3) No Frills. Supposedly we have ten tickets, available to the first ten people who email ME at mjwalker@acsu.buffalo.edu at 3pm today (November 4) will get them. The event is happening this Saturday at 7:30 pm. I am driving down, so those who need a ride, contact me by email (my sleep schedule is all messed up so I don't want to be getting calls as early as one in the afternoon about rides...) . :-) Even if you don't get one of the free ones, come anyway. The price is only $10, and it is for a great cause (Aids Community Services). I'll see you all there.
4) Movie night. We will be having a movie night, currently scheduled for next Friday at 8pm in the LGBA office. Since I will be in MA at the time, I need someone to take charge of this happening, eg making sure the TV goes back, people clean up after themselves, etc. Just someone that I know can run the show. Volunteers contact me by email.
5) Kim has called this week's conference committee meeting off as a resuilt of the currnt funding situation. (See #1)
6) Tina Barfoot mentioned something last week about escorting at the Women's Clinic on Main Street this week. Last week was an awesome time for me, and protecting the women from the protesters and press is a great help. If she needs help, please do not hesitate to volunteer.
